Christmas Lamppost

This is my second post for the Doodle Pantry July release. For this sample, I used the new Vintage Lamppost and Holiday Greetings sets. I also used an older set called Poinsettia.

You can get this set free with purchase from July 1st - July 24th. It has some incredible digital papers and wonderful sentiments.

For this card, I printed an outline version of the vintage lamppost and colored it with Copic markers (lamp - C02, C04, C05, C09; flame - Y00, Y13, Y17) and used glossy accents for the glass portion of the lamp. I used the Sakura clear glitter pen on the "iron" portions of the lamp. I cut the lamp with Resplendent Rectangles from Spellbinders and distressed it using Basic Gray ink and then mounted it on another rectangle cut from the same set using Ruby Red card stock. I mounted that on a piece of black card stock and then a white card stock base distressed with Basic Gray and Ruby Red ink (all paper and ink from Stampin' Up!). I printed 2 very small outline images of the poinsettia and colored the with Copic markers (leaves - G20, G24, G28 and flower petals - R00, R17, R24, R27). I hand-cut them both out and mounted one on top of the other and then mounted it on the lamppost with 3 punched branches from McGill. The sentiment was printed on white card stock and punched out using a large oval punch from Stampin' Up! and distressed with Ruby Red and Basic Gray ink. To finish the card I added 3 glitter snowflakes from Jolee's Boutique and changed the clear crystals to red crystals.

Don't forget, you can get the Holiday Greetings set FREE just for playing along with our challenge on the Doodle Pantry blog.

I entered this card in the following challenge:
