Have a Fine Bird-Day

Hello all you crafty friends out there. Today, we have a challenge from 613 Avenue Create. This week's challenge is birds of a feather (birds, feathers, wings). The interpretation is left up to you. As always, you can choose to skip the challenge and enter your anything goes project as well. Our sponsors this week are Oak Pond Creations and Doodle Pantry. How awesome is that!

My card is brought to you today by Doodle Pantry. I'm using the image, sentiment and designer paper from the set Critter Tales. This set is free with purchase this month and you still have today and tomorrow to get in on the deal. I love this Flamingo. I chose to use the PRE-PRINTED image on white card stock. I used Cameo Coral ink from Stampin' Up! to distress the edges. I did the same thing for the sentiment. I used Spellbinder's Labels Four dies for the image and sentiment and Gold Labels Four dies for the frames behind them. I took white feathers and inked them a little with the Cameo Coral ink and secured them to the designer paper. Using pop dots, I layered the image over the feathers and the sentimental above that at an angle. I finished the card off with some new black bling crystals from Queen & Co. that I just picked up at the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim this weekend. What a fun time that was! Here is a picture of what you will receive in the entire set.

Most Adorable Easter Bunny

Welcome back to another ANYTHING GOES challenge with Through the Craft Room Door. It's Team A's turn and this week our sponsor is The Paper Shelter.

I am using an image called The Most Adorable Easter Bunny. I love their line of "most adorable" digital stamps. To create this card, I printed the image on white card stock by Crafter's Companion and colored it using Spectrum Noir markers (pinks - PP1, PP3, PP6; blue - IB2; green - LG4; yellow - CT2). The Easter basket and two eggs inside are cut files from Silhouette's online store. I added yellow, green and blue bling to the pink egg and a pink crystal flower and clear crystals to the basket. I also added 2 pink crystal hearts on the egg behind the bunny. I mounted this on a piece of black card stock, pink glitter card stock and then a white card stock base. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!

I really hope you will join us for this challenge this week. I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Irish Wishing Well

Hi Everybody...it's that time again. Design Team B at 613 Avenue Create has another challenge for you. As always, the challenge is ANYTHING GOES. However, if you like to do the optional twists, this week we challenge you to use an Irish Blessing, Saying or Quote. Our sponsors this week are Vectoria Designs, The Stamping Boutique and Inky Impressions.

I am using Wishing Well from Inky Impressions for my card this week. The sentiment is an Irish birthday blessing that I found on the internet. Using Microsoft Word, I brought the image and the sentiment into my document and printed it on white card stock. I colored the image using Copic markers (wood and rope - E31, E33, E35, E37, E39; well - C2, C4, C5; grass, vines and bird - YG05, YG09, YG17, YR23; water - BG10; handles - Sakura Clear Star). Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut the shamrock swirls. I did a horizontal flip on one of them so it was facing the opposite direction. The designer paper I used to cut the shamrocks is from Doodle Pantry. I added green gems from Queen & Co. on the swirls and layered the image on Garden Green and Green Galore card stock from Stampin' Up!

Coral Rose Embroidery

It's Team A's turn once again at Through the Craft Room Door. Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said and I picked this absolutely gorgeous Diamond Rose image. As always, this is an anything goes challenge, so let's see what you have for us this week!

The second I saw this image, I fell in love. There are so many different ways you could create a project with this image. I loved the built-in embroidery design. It's a very simple matter to pierce the holes once you print it. I chose to use a coral and green floss for the embroidery, making the leaves green and the swirls coral. I printed a second version of the diamond on pear pizazz card stock from Stampin' Up! and cut it along the outside of the marks and popped it up using thing pop dots. I then colored clear crystals with my Copic marker YR68 and outlined the diamond shape with them. I brought the rose into my Silhouette Cameo and traced it. Then I did a print and cut on white card stock and colored it with Copic markers (leaves - G40, G43; rose - YR61, YR65, YR68). Using thicker pop dots, I popped it up on the pear pizazz card stock. Everything was mounted on Calypso Coral card stock base.

It's a Pig Thing!

HUGE HUGE HUGE release this month over at Doodle Pantry. You will not believe the awesome digital stamp sets, svg cut files and digital papers being released today. So much fun!!

Do you remember last month when I told you Laurie was doing more carousel items, possibly even a pig? Well, here is the set Pig Carousel. I decided to use the pig without the pole and stand for my card. Normally, it faces to the left, so I just did a horizontal flip using my computer software. I printed the pig on white card stock and colored it using Copic markers (pig body and saddle - RV000, RV02, RV04, RV17; roses - Y00, Y11, Y13; leaves - G03) and then fussy cut the image. The paper roses were colored with Copic marker Y00. I used the Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen on the roses and the trim of the saddle. For the dots on the saddle, I used colored crystal bling. The pig was placed on white card stock with a double stack of pop dots in the center of the body and then glued down on the feet, tail and snout. I then placed the flowers in a semi-circle and then placed the image and flowers under a plastic dome. I printed the digital paper from the Bright Smiles Digi Paper Pack and then used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the oval to fit over the dome. I then placed it on black card stock and then a white card stock base. The sentiment is from the Pig Carousel set and printed on white card stock and punched with a SU oval punch and placed on a black mat punched with a larger SU oval punch. I added 3 more flowers and more yellow bling to finish it off. Here is picture of the set.
