There's Only One You!

There's a new Color Challenge starting today at The Outlawz. The DT made some really cute cards this week for you, and I hope you'll stop by and play along with us. It was my first time posting for the challenge and I was a bit nervous, but it came out pretty good.

Our sponsor for the month of February is The Paper Nest. Please check out their website. They have lots of rubber stamps, as well as digital stamps to choose from.

Our challenge this week is TIC TAC TOE. Everyone loves to play this game, so let's see what you can do with these colors on your project.

We would like you to pick a row...it can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal. If your chosen row has a box with a word in it, you must include that item (twist) into your project, for example if you picked the first vertical row you would use pink, blue and purple and your twist would be gemstones! You have lots of color combinations to choose from and we hope you like this challenge as much as we do!

I chose the middle vertical row and used Yellow, White and Black. Believe it or not, that butterfly is actually a cut file from Silhouette. Using my Cameo, I turned the fill color and the line color to black and turned off the cut lines. I then traced the butterfly and did an outer trace to get just the outline cut. Then I did a print and cut on white card stock. I did made two butterflies. I used Spectrum Noir markers (CT1, CT3, GB5) to color both butterflies. I glued one butterfly on top of the other and then used glitter spray on the top for a little texture to make it sparkle and shine. For the fancy fold, I followed the tutorial by Beate Johns on SCS found here. All of the paper I used, including the designer paper, is from Stampin' Up!. I used a square of white card stock inside the fold and then placed both butterflies on inside. This was layered on top of black card stock and layered onto another piece of white card stock (with the sentiment from Stampin' Up! stamped directly on it) and then onto a black card stock base.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
