Perfect Friends

Hello crafters...here is my card for this week's Color Challenge over at The Outlawz. I am late posting this, but you still have a couple of days left to join us. Our sponsor this month is The Paper Nest. Check out their website. They have rubber stamps, as well as digital stamps to choose from. This week, our challenge is to use sky blue (or any blue close to that) and two other colors of your choice. You also tell us what your twist is. I love this type of challenge. Here is my card. My colors are blue, green, yellow, orange and pink and my twist is to add a button.

 

This card was made for my very good friend Cathy. Her favorite flowers are daisies and I thought this was perfect for her. I used a card cut file from Silhouette's online store. In addition to the card cut file, it also has a two-piece extra daisy, so I cut that that as well. I used white card stock for the card, and for the bottom layer of the extra daisy, and blue card stock for the top layer of the daisy. Beneath the card cut file, I used a piece of rainblow vellum. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I layered that on blue card stock and adhered it using foam tape. Using a MS butterfly punch, I punched that from the same vellum and glued that below the sentiment. I added a big white button with white thread onto the daisy and added blue crystal gems on the other flowers and also onto the layered sentiment.
