This was actually my very first step card. I have previously blogged a couple of other step cards before this one, but this was the first. I am using Bee Birdie (which was released back in October) and Happy Buzzer.
The step card is a cut file from Silhouette Online. The designer paper and sentiment are from the Bee Birdie set, as well. The beehive is from the Beeutiful Beehive SVG and PDF set and was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I originally printed a colored version of Bee Birdie, but my printer didn't come out with the correct colors, so I recolored using Copic markers (N3, N6, N8, YR0000,
YR20, YR23, B0000, B41, R02). These same colors were used to color the Happy Buzzer bee as well. I cut them out by hand and mounted them on the step card. I used a hand-held Fiskers circle punch for the antennae on Bee Birdie. I printed the sentiment using the cut and print feature along with a label from Silhouette online. I also cut the background label. Last, I added brown candy dots from Stampin' Up!
There is still time to enter Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 43 and receive your free Easter Peeps set. Just a reminder, you must use a Doodle Pantry image (not just a sentiment) in order to receive the free set. You may use any image you like to be eligible for the $15 gift certificate to Doodle Pantry.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
