Shake Those Feathers

Hello everyone,

I know it's been almost 2 months since I've posted anything on my blog and I'm sorry about that. I have actually been creating a lot of things, but just haven't posted them. Not all of them are cards, but I will share with you soon. For now, I have a card I made with a Doodle Pantry set called Parrot Play. Although the outline version of this set was previously released, it was re-released this month in color.

I made this card for my sister-in-law's birthday. She has a Conure Parrot and I took the colors from a picture of her bird on her facebook page. I have to apologize, because I wrote down the Copic marker colors that I used on a sheet of paper and I cannot find it, so I cannot tell you what I used. I simply cannot remember. I printed the outline version of the parrot and colored it with Copic markers and then hand-cut it out. The feathers at the bottom of the cage were made by using the same green Copics I used for the bird and simply scribbling on a piece of white card stock. I then cut the feathers and birdcage with cut files from Silhouette Online. I printed the sentiment and used the small oval and medium oval punches from SU to punch them out. The background for the sentiment is a scrap piece of printed designed paper from Doodle Pantry. I added some orange dome bling from Queen & Co. at the top and bottom of the cage to finish it off.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
