Vintage Camera

This card was made for one of the challenges over at The Outlawz. What better to use a Doodle Pantry design to make that card.

I used a PRE-COLORED image from the Vintage Camera set that was released this month at Doodle Pantry. The image, designer paper and sentiment are all from this set. I brought the image into my Silhouette Cameo and did a print and cut on cream card stock. I also cut a ring of brown card stock from my stash to lay on top and a ring of maroon card stock, also from my stash, to layer underneath to give it the "effect" of a camera lens. I printed two different designer papers and cut them into 2.5" squares and glued them to the cream card stock base. I used thin foam adhesive to pop the focal image up off the page just a little bit. I used early espresso ink from Stampin' Up! to distress the image and the rings as well as the cream base. I printed the sentiment and then used a circle punch along with 2 other sizes for the brown and maroon circles. I stacked them on top of each other in an offset manner and used slightly thicker foam adhesive to pop them above the focal image. I duplicated it in the opposite corner and then added a button and maroon twine for the center. To finish off, I used brown candy dots from Stampin' Up! Here's what you get with the set:

A Cure Must Be Found

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I made a card that I'd like to dedicate to everyone (women and men) who have ever gone through breast cancer, as well as the families who helped support them. The image is an older set from Doodle Pantry called I Will Survive.

I used a spray of ribbons cut file from the Silhouette online store for the base of this card. Before cutting, I created a blue gradient fill for the entire card, and then brought the PRE-COLORED image into my Silhouette Cameo software, as well as the sentiment (both from the I Will Survive set). I then did a print and cut. To make the ribbons show white at all times (representing clouds in the sky), I adhered a piece of white card stock behind the front layer. Here is what the entire set looks like:

Spooky Worms

It's the 1st of the month, so it's time for the new releases from Doodle Pantry. As usual, Laurie has outdone herself. I actually created two cards for this release, so check out my other post below.

For this card, I used the new set called Spooky Worms. Okay, okay...so they're not really all that spooky...but they are adorable, aren't they? I fell in love immediately and knew that I wanted to use both worms on one card. I started by printing one of the designer papers from the set onto white card stock. I layered this onto another piece of white card stock and then onto a black card stock base. I just two rectangles from purple and red card stock and angled them behind the image. I printed the outline image of both the mummy and dracula worms and colored them using Copic markers (mummy - C0, E11, E13; dracula - E11, E13, R02, R08, C4, C5, C9). I used the kiss technique using the Copic markers C5 and C9 to blend the darker grays a little better. The image was mounted onto black card stock and then layered onto the purple and red card stock. Using a font called Chiller, I typed the two sentiments into talk bubbles I found on Google Images and then hand cut the bubbles and popped them up above the worms using thin foam tape. Here is a preview of this set.

This month from October 1 - 24th, you can get the Nut Costume Ants set free with your purchase.  Here's a preview of that set.

Jingle All The Way

This is my second card for today's release from Doodle Pantry. This time I used the set Charlie Reindeer. This is one of Laurie's illustrations that was previously sold at Clearly Digital Stamps and is now being re-released. This is part of her Charlie Horse series and he's absolutely adorable.

For this card, I first printed one of the designer papers on white card stock and then layered that on a green card stock base. I used a piece of silver mirror paper and layered a piece of red card stock on top of that and then added a PRE-PRINTED image from the Charlie Reindeer set that was cut using the Magic Mirror die set from Crafter's Companion. I printed the sentiment and used the large oval punch from Stampin' Up to cut that out and glued it to the bottom of the frame. I then added green flower gems and clear crystal ovals for a bit of bling!

Please see the post above this one for all of the information for today's release. Thank you for stopping by my blog.
