Boo Boo Buddy

Another fantastic image from Doodle Pantry to create with. How adorable is this image?

This is the new Boo Boo Birdie and Ants set released this month from Doodle Pantry. As everyone knows by now, I absolutely adore Laurie's birdies and this one went right to the top of my favorites list. The image and both sentiments are from this set. I printed the birdie and ants on Crafter's Companion white card stock and colored it with both Spectrum Noir markers (bird body - GB1, GB4, GB6; beak & leg - GB3, GB5) and Copic markers (cast - C0, C2; ants - C2, C5, C9; crutch E93, E95, E35, E37; bandaid - E93, E95, E97). I wrote "get well soon" on the cast with a micron 05 black pen. The flip card is a cut file from Silhouette Online, but I turned it vertically for a different effect. The base was cut with white card stock and the panels were cut with coral card stock and then embossed with swiss dots from Cuttlebug. The bandaid is a free cut file from SVG Cuts. I used Cameo Coral ink from Stampin' Up to distress the sentiments and the bandaids. The top photo is how it looks closed and the bottom photo is what it looks like when opened.

This is a photo of the entire set:

Love You Forever

GREAT NEWS! I am now a member of Design Team A for Through the Craftroom Door. This is my first challenge with this design team and I am very excited. As always, our challenge is Anything Goes. This week, our sponsor is Digi Stamps 4 Joy.

I am using Vase of Hearts for my card. I printed the image on Crafter's Companion white card stock and colored it using Spectrum Noir markers (ledge - IG1; vase - BT2; leaves & stems - DG3, CG3, CG4; hearts - DR2, DR4, DR6). I then used crystal lacquer on the vase to make it look like glass. The sentiment is a cut file from Silhouette's online store. I layered the image onto black card stock and then a red card stock base. I then added clear crystal bling on the swirls of the sentiment.

Valentine's and Mailbox

We're having a great challenge this week at 613 Avenue Create. The challenge is always anything goes but this week's optional twist is to create a gift set. Any type of gift set you want to create will do. Our sponsors this week are Kenny K Downloads, The Stamping Chef and Flat Friends Boutique.

I chose to do a set of Valentine's cards and a Mailbox. I am using Heart Teddy Bear from Kenny K Downloads for my project. This was very fun and I am sending it to my niece so she has a place to put all her Valentine's cards from school. The mailbox is a cut file from Silhouette's Online store. All of the designer paper is from Stampin' Up!'s set called Candy Lane. The mailbox was very easy to cut and assemble. I also used a Valentine spin game cut file and replaced the heart with the Heart Teddy Bear to match the cards. I printed the teddy bear and sentiment on vanilla card stock and colored all the bears with Copic markers (R24, R27, R29 for the heart the bear is holding on the mailbox and E81, E84, E87, E89 for the bear's body on all the cards and the mailbox). I paper pieced the heart that the bear is holding on all of the cards using designer paper from Stampin' Up. The Happy Valentine's Day sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. I mounted them on red card stock leaving a little room on the bottom for 5 clear crystals.

Flaming Heart Valentine

I know I say this all the time, but I sure had great fun making this card. This time I am using two Doodle Pantry sets. The new set is Heart on Fire and the older set is Love Birdies. The heart, designer paper and sentiment are from the Heart on Fire set and the birdies are from the Love Birdies set. For the birdies, I removed them from the bird house they were in to use for this card. I printed the PRECOLORED version of both the birdies and the heart, and then used Copic markers to color them a little more (Y21, Y23, Y26, YR12, YR14, YR18, R14, R29). I did not touch the beaks on either birdie or the cheeks on the yellow birdie. After adding red and other colors to the flames, I went over the black outlines with a Sakura gold gelly roll pen.  I brought the heart into my Silhouette Cameo and did a trace and then cut the heart out in order to pop it up on top of the printed image to add dimension. I printed the sentiment and then used my Stampin' Up! heart punch to punch it out. I distressed it with pumpkin pie and real red ink. The card base is pumpkin pie card stock from Stampin' Up! I then added black goosebump crystals from Queen & Co.

You still have time to receive the Heart on Fire set for free just by entering Challenge 42 on the Doodle Pantry Blog. In order to receive this set for free, you must use a Doodle Pantry image on your project. If you don't use a Doodle Pantry image, you are still eligible for the $15 gift certificate.

Happy Birthday Mouse

It's Party Time over at 613 Avenue Create this week. That's our challenge for you. Remember, you may also do anything goes if you choose. Our sponsors are A Day For Daisies and Heather Ellis using DigiStamp Characters.

For my card, I am using Mouse in the House 22. I printed the digi stamp on white card stock and colored it using my Copic markers (mouse and bird - C0, C2, C4; cheek and nose - R0000, R02; blouse and balloon - RV21, RV23, RV25; candle, plate and envelope - R20, R24, R29; flame - Y000, Y19; table - E31, E33, E35). I used petal pink liquid pearls for the cake, a pink sticker for the top of the mouse's head, crystal effects for the balloon and a yellow heart for the envelope. The image and all other circles were cut using various sizes of the standard circle diecuts from Spellbinders. I used whisper white, summer sun, pink passion and real red card stock from Stampin' Up! I created the background using all the circles in random order and then placed red, pink and yellow Rox glitter crystals from Queen & Co. The sentiment is a rub-on from Stampin' Up! I really hope you get a chance to play in our challenge this week.

I Heart You

This was such a fun card to make. I am using the new .svg cut file set from Doodle Pantry called  Hearts Galore. This set comes with several cut files and is so cute. It took a little bit of manipulating of the file I used, in order to get it to the size I wanted. Before cutting on my Silhouette Cameo, I duplicated the strip five times so I could cut them all at once. I put them together to make sure I had my size correct and then using DCWV Glitzy Glitter red glitter card stock, I made the cuts. I used MS craft glue to adhere them to my white glimmer card stock base. Then I used silver glitter alphabet stickers a clear crystal heart from my stash for I Heart You. I wish my picture would have come out better so you can see just how glittery and shimmery this card really is. This is the complete set for Hearts Galore:

Don't forget to stop by Doodle Pantry Challenge Blog to play in our digital challenge #42. You can use any digital stamp you wish, and you will be eligible for the $15 gift certificate. However, if you wish to receive the Hearts on Fire digital stamp set free, you must use a Doodle Pantry image.

Heart Full of Love

Happy New Year! It's the beginning of a brand new year...and the beginning of another fun-filled year with Doodle Pantry. Wait until you see what Laurie has in store for everyone!!

I used the newly released set Heartful Hearts. Isn't that a pretty stamp? I printed the COLORED version of the digital stamp and then took a Sakura clear glitter gel pen and colored the entire image to give it that glittered look. I hand-cut the image out. The silver glittered heart flourish is a cut file from Silhouette and I mounted the stamped image on top of that. For the sentiment (also included in the set), I printed it on white glimmer paper and used my heart punch from Stampin' Up! I then used blushing bride ink to distress it and added a heart crystal at the bottom. This was mounted on blushing bride card stock and then on a white glimmer card stock base, both from Stampin' Up! Here is what you get with this set:

There is still a sale going on at Doodle Pantry, so hop on over there to get all your new digital stamp sets. Don't forget to look at all the re-released sets that were previously sold at CDS. They are amazing.

There is a new challenge beginning at noon today over at the Doodle Pantry blog. You can use any image you want to enter the challenge, but in order to receive the free set, you must use a Doodle Pantry image. You will receive the new Hearts on Fire set just for entering. How fantastic is that?

Laurie is always having sales and giving away free sets, so you'll want to stop by often. Have a fantastic NEW YEAR!
