Time For Another Birthday

I love this new Doodle Pantry set called Old Watch. It is so versatile and one of the best pocket watch digi stamps I've seen. The waistcoat vest is a free cut file from Bird's Cards. The vest was only connected by a very small piece on the bottom, so I rotated the two sides until I could connect the entire sides together and then welded them. The patches, pockets, trims and buttons were cut using the designer paper from the Old Watch set. All of the pieces were distressed and then glued down, leaving the pockets open at the top. I brought the watch into my Silhouette Cameo and did a trace and then a print and cut. The watch was colored with Copic markers (Y26, Y28) and then I used the Sakura clear glitter pen over the coloring. I then used glossy accents over the entire watch. Because the card stock I used was not very thick, the image did curl when it dried, so I turned it over onto my mat and placed heavy items on top and continued to let it harden fully. I printed the sentiment (from the same set) on white card stock and distressed with more mustard ink from Stampin' Up! I used a square punch to cut the end into a ribbon. I made the bowtie using clear resin (mixed with white acrylic paint) and a rubber mold (Martha Stewart) and then colored with more mustard ink. Here is a picture of the set with all the sentiments shown.

Don't forget to stop back on the 1st for new November's release. I can't tell you what's coming out, but it's another great one!

Wine Tasting

Here we are for another challenge at 613 Avenue Create. Our challenge is always Anything Goes, but every week, we add a challenge that you can follow. Our sponsor this week is Kenny K Downloads. And the challenge is Create Your Own Challenge. You pick 1-3 items from each column to add to your card. Very fun!

I didn't use a Kenny K image this week. I chose to use the Wine Tasting image from Of The Heart. I used rich razzleberry and very vanilla card stock from Stampin' Up! and the Opulent Ovals die from Spellbinders. I stamped the image and embossed it with black embossing powder and colored the image using Copic Markers. I added glossy accents to the wine bottle and glass to make it pop out a little bit. Then I added grape clusters and swirl bling to the corners.

Seasons of Wonder - 100th Post

Wow...I can't believe I have posted 100 cards to my blog. What better way to celebrate that, than with a card using Doodle Pantry images. This set was previously sold through CDS (Clearly Digital Stamps) and is now being released through Doodle Pantry.

This is the Season of Wonder set and it's just beautiful. I chose to use a PRE-COLORED image for my card. I used the digital paper that comes with the set, as well as one of the sentiments. I cut the manger using my Silhouette Cameo. I distressed it with a little bit of black ink. I printed the colored image and used a bit of blue ink to distress it. The straw roof is actually a cut file called reeds and was cut using the Silhouette Cameo. I cut them in several different sizes to be able to add layers. I also put a few pieces in the rafters and at the bottom of the manger. I added the star charm to the top of the roof. The sentiment was printed on white card stock, cut with a Spellbinder's die and distressed with dark blue ink. This was adhered to the pattern paper from the set, then dark blue card stock and finally a white card stock base.

Hugs From Heaven

Guess what day it is? You guessed right...it's release day at Doodle Pantry. What a fabulous release this month. In addition to the new sets Laurie has created, she has released several old sets that she colored and she is releasing 28 sets that were previously sold at Clearly Digi Stamps. Check out the What's New? section for a list of everything available this month!

The birdie image and the sentiment are from the Angel Birdie set, and the digital paper is from the new Office Accents set. I printed the birdie with the kitten image twice on white card stock and once on greenish-blue vellum paper. I cut around the tips of the wings on the first image, and then used a classic oval from Spellbinder's to get the shape. I cut out the wings from the other white card stock and the greenish-blue vellum and set them aside. The image was colored with Copic markers (bird - Y00, Y11, YG21; beak & feet - YR20, YR23; cheeks and kitty nose - R000; kitten - N3, N5; robe BG000, BG13, BG49). The halo was colored with gold glitter pen by Sakura and then I added Star Dust glitter glue. Star Dust glitter glue was also used on the tips of the vellum wings and then again to color in the wings on top. The 2 additional sets of wings were adhered with pop dots. I printed the digital paper and adhered it to black card stock and then a white card stock base. I adhered the image to a black oval and then to the digital paper. I used a white satin ribbon across the bottom and then added the sentiment, which was punched out using 2 oval punches from Stampin' Up! Last, I added tiny clear crystals randomly on the digital paper for sparkle.

This is one of the sweetest sets I've seen in a long time. I love the birdie series that Laurie has created, and this is no exception. There are different images of the angel biride and sentiments and digital papers as well. This is a fabulous set.
